Multilayer Composite Pipe (MLCP) PERT pipe

 ALPERT PIPE.JPG

Features, Advantages & Benefits

  • A 100% oxygen Barrier – an important feature in protecting the primary equipment in a heating system.

  • Formstability – the ability to form tight bends or shapes by hand without the pipe attempting to spring back.

  • MLCP has the lowest expansion rates of any plastic pipe. The expansion rates, at  50 deg c (Please put oc instead of deg c Thanks) pex is 10 times higher and PB is 8 times higher.

  • Strength, the single pass, complex extrusion technology which produces 5 layer MLCP has much higher ultimate mechanical strength and the aluminium layer provides much better fire protection than ordinary plastic pipes.

Multilayer Composite Pipe has become a generic phrase for 5 layer PERT or PEX pipes with a core layer of aluminium. Most of the patent control is in the weld technology which, in the case of the PERT pipe that UK Underfloor Heating supplies , is an overlapped cold ultrasonic weld. Neatly all other manufacturers use a laser “BUTT” weld, which while as strong as the overlap it inhibits the bending and reforming  qualities.

TX3000 Digital Programmable Clock Thermostat

This programmable thermostat works in the same way as the other progTX3000.jpgrammable stat and is easy to use SEE USER INSTRUCTIONS PDF. This stat is a slim thermostat and fits close to the wall and is lit by a blue back light. This thermostat fix’s into a 35mm back box. This stat also comes with a floor probe so it can be used to control a wet room by fitting the Thermostat on the wall in a back box outside the bathroom. The probe then runs from the thermostat into the bathroom floor. The thermostat then is controlled by the floor temperature rather than air temperature this is also ideal when using towel rails so the towel rail does not affect the air temperature. This stat can control Air temperature, Floor temperature and Air temperature with a floor temperature limit.

Wireless Programmble Room Thermostat

The TP5000 Si is an easy to install-and-use 5/2 day programmable room thermostatTP5000.jpg which offers up to six time and temperature changes each day with different programs for weekdays and weekends.

Battery powered for ease of installation, the TP5000 Si has a large, easy-to-read LCD display. It is easy to program and operate because of a built-in switching program that the user can easily change to suit individual heating requirements. A big plus with the TP5000 Si is that it incorporates a real time clock and calendar function which eliminates the need for time-setting and BST/GMT time changes. Time and date are factory-set making time setting or adjustment unnecessary.

Conventional On/Off control is the standard setting for the TP5000 Si but advanced chrono-proportional control is an installer-set option. This modulating control mode uses a cycling pattern within which boiler on/off percentages are varied to satisfy heating requirements.
Chrono-proportional cycling rates of 3, 6, 9 or 12 per hour can be selected.

Service Interval function
The optional Service Interval function incorporated into the TP5000 Si helps landlords meet the boiler servicing requirements of Gas Safety Regulation 36. The unit provides audible and visual warnings from 28 days before servicing is due and ultimately reduces the heating output should the due date pass. Full heating operation can only be restored by an authorized installer.

Wireless System

FH-BU STATS.jpg

The FH-BU is a six-zone floor heating wiring centre for use in systems utilizing wireless room thermostats. In addition to providing a structured wiring system for thermal actuators, the FH-BU also incorporates two voltage free heat demand relays that are activated when one or more zones call for heat. The two relay solution allows for separate control of a floor heating zone pump and a boiler.
With this arrangement, the boiler may by used for normal radiator heating and hot water service provision, without the need for external relays.

4 / 8 Way Wiring Centre'sWiring Centre.jpg

The wiring centre is used to control more than one zone. With the wiring centre every zone can work independently and every zone can turn  your pump and boiler on. These wiring centre's work with the actuators and can control up to 8 zones (8 way wiring centre) or 4 zones (4 way wiring centre).

Electronic Mixing Valve

 EWS.jpg

The electronic mixing system allows the manifold to turn the power off (switch live) to the boiler when the water in the underfloor heating is up to temperature. The thermostatic mixing valve stops the flow of water running through the manifold but the boiler will keep running passing through the bypass and only stop when the boiler cuts off because its up to temperature, the boiler will then keep firing to check if the system requires heat this uses gas when not needed.

22mm Zone valveGrasslin zone valve.jpg

This zone valve is a 2 port spring return zone valve with 22mm compression fittings and an auxiliary switch. This is usually used in single zone kits or to control hot water or radiators. Zone valves control the flow of water to zones thermostats, timeswitches open and shut these valves. These valves offer outstanding performance and high reliability to the user.

Auto BypassBypass.jpg

A bypass is required on ever system whether it is 1 radiator with no TRV or an auto bypass. When seperating any heating system you need an auto bypass this might already be on your heating system if you have a hot water cylinder & radiators.

Fixing Rail.jpg

Fixing Rail

1m strips of profiled plastic grooved every 50mm to clip UFH pipework into. These strips have holes in so it can be clipped directly to the insulation. For concrete floors  you would use nail clips instead of the insulation clips to fix to the concrete floor.

Insulation clips

insulation_clip.jpgInsulation clips are used for securing the fixing rail to the insulation and clipping pipe work in-between fixing rail. These are plastic and come in two sizes 40mm & 55mm. Any insulation thinner than 30mm the smaller clips should be used

Double aluminium platesAluminium Plate.jpg

Used instead of screed on a timber floor. The plates are 390mm wide and 1m long, profiled with two grooves they are designed to fit joists at 400mm centre's. To size how many plates you require times the sqm of the room by 2.2 or measure how many plates you need in-between joists.

Antifreeze.jpg

ANTI FREEZE

Antifreeze is used when UFH is not connected to a heat source and is left through the winter  the floor has a chance of freezing. The antifreeze should be mixed with the water and is also used as inhibitor when the floor heating is turned on .

Pipe De-CoilerPipe De-coiler.jpg

The Pipe De-coiler is a must have for any person who installs underfloor heating regularly. This allows you to use 500m coils of pipe which means you have next to no waste. If you have 10m extra on each loop (100m coil) you would be wasting 50m if this was laid using 500m coil the spare 50m you could use elsewhere. When using 500m coils it turns what was a 2 man job into 1 man job.
