Multi Port ManifoldIn the room or rooms that you are heating find the best place to locate your manifold so it is close and easy to get to each room or rooms and mount your manifold to the wall.

The manifold should be fixed so the underfloor heating pipe work can be easily connected into the bottom body of the manifold.

C:UsersUserDesktoproom pipework Model (1)
Lay out the fixing rail on top of the floor insulation, depending on the length of the room there will usually be 3 or 4 runs of fixing rail. Once all the fixing rail is laid out fix it down with the insulation clips provided.
Fix the fixing rail about 500mm away from the wall at the side of the room where the pipe work will enter. The other side of the room should be fixed about 300mm from the wall. See diagrams
Step-3
Next you need to connect one end of the Easy to use Alpert Underfloor Heating pipe to the top port of the manifold. Once this is connected you can then start to lay out the Underfloor Heating pipe into the fixing rails securing with insulation clips in the spaces inbetween the fixing rail and at the end of each pipe run until all your Underfloor Heating pipe is laid. (The recommended maximum loop should be no longer than 120m). Once you have all your pipe laid out and fixed down you need to return the end of your pipe back to the manifold and connect it into the bottom port of the manifold.

  1. Open the fill and drain points on the flow and return manifolds (turn clockwise with cap provided).
  2. Shut flow connection by turning white cap clockwise on the angle valve.
  3. Shut return connection using a 6mm allen key (located under chrome cap). Turn fully clockwise.
  4. Close bottom pump valve (turn slot to run horizontal).
  5. Connect mains water supply to the bottom fill and drain point and another piece of hose to the top fill and drain point, the top hose pipe should be put into a bucket.
  6. Close 1 white cap and leave one open.
  7. Close the corresponding bottom loop using a 5mm allen key (Located under a chrome nut) and leave one open.
  8. Turn on the water it will now enter the manifold and flow through the circuit until it exits the hosepipe connected to the top manifold body.
  9. Let the water flow until all air has been purged from the first loop of pipe.
  10. At this point the first loop is full. Shut off the white cap on the top body and move on to the next loop opening the 5mm allen key fitting and the corresponding white cap, water should now flow through the next loop. Once full water will exit the hosepipe connected to the top manifold.
  11. Now both loops are full, open bottom pump valve to completely fill manifold and open the manual bleeders momentarily.
  12. Close fill and drain point on the top manifold body, allow pressure to rise to 3 bar and close fill and drain point.
  13. The system is now filled and under pressure.
  14. Check for leaks and note pressure, pressure may fall slightly due to stabilization and temperature changes if pressure falls to zero there is a leak.
  15. Carry out a final check to make sure there are no kinks in the pipe circuit.
  16. Check pressure after 24 hours.
Wire up the wiring centre and Actuators (multi zone). Zone valve (single zone) and pump by following wiring drawings.
